Picasso's Sports Café will launch its second spot in uptown Charlotte at 123 W. Trade St. The bar takes over where a Hooters once stood.

A Google listing shows the grand opening is Friday, May 1. Inspections are wrapping up now and might push back when doors swing open, a spokesperson said, according to the Charlotte Observer.

"We couldn't keep this to ourselves any longer, and we're so excited to be bringing the Picasso's experience to the heart of the city," the owners wrote in a message on Instagram. "This is going to be something special."

Voters ranked the place among the Top 50 sports bars in Charlotte this year. Fans flock to the University City spot on game days.

Wings, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and salads fill the menu. Buffalo chicken pizza and the pepperoni roll get ordered most often, according to the bar's website.

The first location sits at 230 E W.T. Harris Blvd. in University City. That site built a fan base with its game day specials and bar grub.

Downtown Charlotte will now get the same food and drinks. Wings and pizza that made the original spot work will be served at this location, too.
