QuikTrip Gives $500,000 to Charlotte Police Foundation for Technology and Officer Support
QuikTrip makes a meaningful investment in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation with a $500,000 donation.

QuikTrip donated $500,000 to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation on Wednesday, March 18. The convenience store chain handed over the check inside the Law Enforcement Center's Command Center.
The funds will purchase equipment, officer safety measures, and outreach activities. Public budgets can't always stretch far enough. That's where this money comes in, covering gaps in innovation, wellness programs, and other needs.
"QuikTrip is committed to being a responsible partner by making meaningful investments that enhance the safety and well-being of the communities we serve," said Nick Gracek, Charlotte Division Operations Manager, according to CMPD. "One of our priorities is to ensure that first responders have the resources they need to protect our communities, and we are proud and honored to support the heroes of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department."
Chief Estella D. Patterson praised the gift. She said it would help her officers serve Charlotte in better ways. "Support like this accelerates innovation, strengthens our partnership with the community and provides critical tools and programs that public funding alone cannot deliver," Patterson explained.
The Foundation has secured equipment that speeds up response times and makes investigations work better. Nonprofit-funded programs also help build trust. Officers and residents connect through these efforts.
QuikTrip opened its first Charlotte spot in April 2012. The company operates 21 stores across the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area now, with 550 workers on staff. Statewide, the retailer has 43 locations throughout North Carolina.
