Ballantyne plans more than 20 festivals, concerts, and markets in 2026, according to Axios. The South Charlotte area keeps growing as a spot for shows and fun. This year brings back events at The Bowl and The Amp, plus new restaurants are coming too.
The Ballantyne Farmers Market runs from March through June, then returns for September and October on the first Wednesday each month. It happens from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brixham Park.
Three food and drink festivals will take over Ballantyne's Backyard this year. Beer, Bourbon & BBQ on May 9 features over 60 beers, more than 40 bourbons, and BBQ from noon to 6 p.m. — tickets start at $42.80. The Ballantyne Wine & Food Festival on Sept. 26 showcases over 100 wines, beers, and spirits from noon to 5 p.m., with tickets starting at $47.53. Whiskey, Wine, & Fire Festival happens Oct. 24 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., tickets starting at $42.80.
The Amp has announced six concerts so far for its 5,000-seat outdoor venue — the Spring Mix featuring Cory Wong, Snarky Puppy, and Friends kicks off the season April 11, with doors opening at 2 p.m. and tickets starting at $94. Gov't Mule and Larkin Poe perform April 18. Yacht Rock Revue takes the stage May 9.
June shows? Claypool Gold on June 16, The String Cheese Incident on June 19, and The Human League on June 20. Ticket prices range from $50 to $71.
Two running events will take place this spring in the area — the Craft Beer Half Marathon starts at 8 a.m. on March 28 at Brixham Park, with tickets ranging from $55 for a 5-mile run to $85 for the half marathon. The 22nd Annual Run! Ballantyne on May 30 offers an 8K, 5K, or Fun Run starting at 7:30 a.m. at The Amp, with tickets from $20 to $60.
Several restaurants have opened within the last year. PopUp Bagels, Brasserie Copain, South Block, and The Salty all launched at The Bowl. Dunbar Social by Topgolf opened at The Ballantyne Hotel, while Azul Tequileria & Cocina joined the Village.
Reid's Fine Foods will open its fifth Charlotte-area location near the Village soon. Mister O1 will open in The Bowl this fall.
