The building also houses Biscuit Belly and Flight. The Minnesota-based brand has grown to more than 800 locations across the country.

Walk-up windows and drive-throughs dominate their business model. Handcrafted coffee beverages, refreshers, espresso shakers, energy drinks, tea, snacks, breakfast items, and pastries fill out the menu.

The chain has spread through North Carolina recently. What Now Charlotte reported on a location heading to Kannapolis last year. The brand also opened a spot in High Point in the Triad.

This permit signals continued expansion in local markets. New locations have popped up throughout the state.

No opening date has been announced for the East Seventh Street location. The representative did not provide a timeline for construction or when the shop might start serving customers.

New food and beverage businesses keep arriving in the Elizabeth area. The neighborhood sits near downtown Charlotte, which has seen growth in recent years.,

Caribou Coffee started in Minnesota and has become one of the larger coffee chains in the nation, competing with other major brands for market share in the coffee industry.
