Buffalo Wild Wings Plans University City Location in Charlotte

Buffalo Wild Wings filed zoning use and sign permits for a new spot on North Tryon Street in University City. The permits came in Thursday, Jan. 22. They cover a wall sign, door vinyl, and tenant panel.

The restaurant will open at the Terraces at University Place, where Caribbean Hut, Iron Dish Korean BBQ, and Kung Fu Tea already operate. When will the doors open? That's still unknown.

This sports bar chain dishes out buffalo-style chicken wings. More than two dozen sauces and dry rubs give customers choices. Lemon pepper sits next to Thai curry on the menu, while desert heat and chipotle barbecue round out the selection, per its website.

Burgers, fries, sandwiches, wraps, and appetizers fill out what's available. Wing prep and sauce selection made this chain what it is today.

Seven Charlotte-area spots already serve customers. You'll find them in Northlake, Uptown, and South Charlotte.
