Bands of moisture are starting to come through the Charlotte region, but conditions are expected to worsen rapidly as the evening progresses.
If the old adage that Waffle House tells us how bad things are getting, reports that several locations are closing in Greenville, SC and Spartanburg, SC should tell you things aren't great.
The entire region is under an Ice Storm Warning through 1 p.m. Monday, as freezing rain will begin to impact road conditions and potentially cause power outages.
The National Weather Service said that "widespread power outages are likely" throughout the region.
Expect conditions to get worse overnight, as the storm is large and will continue to provide moisture for a long period of time.
