New year, new name. One of Charlotte's outdoor music venues is switching things up in 2026 with a new name. PNC Music Pavilion will now be known as Truliant Ampitheater after Trulian Federal Credit Union secured its naming rights.

The 20,000 capacity amphitheater hosts more than 45 shows every year and features both covered seating and lawn seating for guests. The new name was announced on Thursday and is effective immediately.

The amphitheater has been a concert staple in the area for more than 30 years. The venue was first known as the Blockbuster Pavilion when it opened in 1991. It then became the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and then changed to PNC Music Pavilion in 2013. Now, it will be known as Truliant Amphitheater.

“There’s nothing like great live music to bring people together, and our partnership with this iconic amphitheater will broaden Truliant’s reach among concertgoers to show even more people that credit union benefits are accessible to them,” Todd Hall, president and CEO of Truliant, said to WCNC.

Truliant Ampitheater will kick off its first concert season in April 2026.
