The Spectrum Center, home of the Charlotte Hornets, has finished its $245 million update. Fans will find new self-serve markets, local food spots, and wide-open gathering spaces. These changes mark the biggest update to the arena in its 20-year history.

"We're thrilled to reopen Spectrum Center with a completely elevated food and beverage experience," said Donna Julian, Chief Venues Officer at Hornets Sports & Entertainment, according to WCNC.

Self-serve markets now fill four spots: sections 102, 116, 208, and 226. Quick-stop food stations dot eight more areas across sections 103, 105, 110, 113, 114, 115, 216, and 218. These new spots make up nearly half of all food stops in the building.

The Belk Concourse now sports two fresh public zones: the Lunazul North and South Districts. These open bars mix up craft drinks and serve local brews alongside special dishes.

Want to try something new? The North District cooks up tasty porchetta on bread, falafel in bowls, and spicy bulgogi with rice. Head south for smoky BBQ or try the Carolina Quesadilla: a wild mix of waffle, hot chicken, and cheesy mac.

By section 108's Baseline Bar, the 704 Kitchen switches up its menu monthly with food from Charlotte's own restaurants. Sweet-toothed fans can stop at section 109 for treats from Knowledge Perk Coffee, Amélie's French Bakery, or cool off with Bruster's Ice Cream.

Upstairs brings more choices. The 200-level adds chicken sandwiches at a Chick-fil-A cart, fresh pizza at two Brixx spots, and popcorn at Buzz City Kernels. My Story Café pours hot coffee and milk teas. For dessert, pick between Freddy's custard or Gnam Gnam's gelato.

Chef Joseph Passanante showed off his new menu to WCNC: "We've got our Southern Cheesesteak, the flavorful Falafel Bowl, and for dessert, our Cobbler & Cream."

Billie Eilish kicks off the new era with a show on Oct. 19. Three days later, the Hornets face the Brooklyn Nets in their first home game at 7 p.m.
