Want a job? The chain needs workers fast. They're giving weekly pay and good perks to anyone 16 or older. Stop by from 9 a.m, to 5 p.m. through September 14 to talk about work.
Workers turned the old O'Charley's spot into something fresh. It sits at the front of Winslow Bay Commons. They've fixed up the building and added seats outside for eating.
"Flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and great benefits for 16+!" stated the company's post on the Mooresville Exit 31-36 Facebook page, per The Charlotte Observer. "So if you have a grandchild or another family member, this may also be a great opportunity for them!"
This new spot stirred up talk about names. See, North Carolina already has What-A-Burger shops. While they're not linked to the Texas chain, the similar names caused a stir.
Last year brought legal fights. The Texas chain went after local spots about their name, as reported in The Charlotte Observer. Downtown Mooresville's South Main Street has had its own What-A-Burger for ages.
Many stick with what they know. One local put it plain: "Good in Texas, but not cheating on my hometown and local area What-A-Burger ... in my own town."
The Texas chain wrote back: "It's honestly great to see everyone supporting their local businesses as well. At the end of the day, we may serve food, but we are absolutely in the 'people business.' We are here to give you all nothing but great hospitality at this location."
Find the new spot at 604 River Highway, next to Super Target in Winslow Bay Commons.
