Coco Mexican Restaurant Plans Second Spot in South Charlotte

A new Coco Mexican spot will soon dish up meals at 8145 Ardrey Kell Road in Charlotte. The news broke through their Instagram feed on Aug. 11, marking their second push into local dining.

"The rumors are true. We've felt the love in Mint Hill, and now we're bringing that same Coco flavor and energy to South Charlotte!" stated the restaurant in its social media announcement.

While the opening date stays under wraps for their Suite 103 spot, staff buzz hints at fall plans. When asked on Aug. 11, the team kept quiet about the exact timing.

The menu shines with Mexican staples: sizzling fajitas, grilled steak, and crispy rolled tacos catch diners' eyes. Yelp users give four bright stars, praising both the plates and the mood.

"It's super cute inside and the food was delicious!" wrote one customer on Yelp. "They also have great specials. I can't wait to come back and try their drinks!" Another reviewer highlighted the fried ice cream, stating: "Theirs is delicious and brought back happy memories."

Their first spot at 6914 Matthews-Mint Hill Road just hit its one-year mark. The place caught attention when The Charlotte Observer named it among the city's hidden Mexican gems.
