Music fans will pack Charlotte's venues this August. Shows prices range from $26 to $149, with acts spanning rock, hip-hop, and country.

At PNC Music Pavilion, Kesha teams up with Scissor Sisters on Aug. 5. Three days later, Neil Young storms the stage with Chrome Hearts, blasting cuts from Talkin' to the Trees.

The Fillmore Charlotte hosts soul queen Erykah Badu and beat wizard The Alchemist on Aug. 21. Their "Abi & Alan" show stems from their real names: Erica Abi Wright and Alan Maman.

Dierks Bentley's Broken Branches tour stops at PNC Music Pavilion on Aug. 9. Rock icons Toto share the bill with Christopher Cross and Men at Work Aug. 14, promising a night of classic hits.

The Amp at Ballantyne turns up Aug. 12. Cypress Hill leads an old-school hip-hop takeover with Atmosphere, Lupe Fiasco, and The Pharcyde. Rising star D4VD brings fresh sounds to The Fillmore Aug. 17.

Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre welcomes The Red Clay Strays' gritty southern rock Aug. 22. Five days later, Puerto Rican rap phenom Eladio Carrión takes command of the same stage.

Local favorites SUSTO cap off the month at the cozy Neighborhood Theatre on Aug. 24. Their $26 tickets make this show the month's best deal.
